CURANDISMO HEALING SESSION

In Spanish, curar means, "to heal." Curanderismo is the indigenous Meso- American healing system. This traditional folk medicine and practices are used in Mexico, Central and South America. Going back thousands of years, treatments include the use of plants, herbs, counseling, body work, mysticism and a connection to spirit to heal a person on a physical, mental and spiritual level. The sessions that I offer were passed down to me from the apprenticeship with my teacher, master healer Althea Gray, whose grandmother was a curandera from Nicaragua. I have also studied with curanderos from Mexico through individual workshops and at the University of New Mexico in Alburquerque.

Limpia means, “to clean.” A limpia is an energetic cleansing.

This session involves hands-on body work with the use of fresh herbs and oils to perform a deep clearing of your entire energy field. Energy work, breath and massage help to remove years of blocks and issues from a person--essentially "cleaning" him/her--offering clarity, radiance and release from negativity. These sessions are profound.  The treatment includes an integration and clearing of all the chakras and subtle bodies and the removal of psychic attacks or, “mal de ojo.”  Thoughts, imprints and beliefs can significantly shift after treatment. A limpia is recommended to do once or twice a year for the average person.  People suffering from addiction, major illness or depression will benefit from doing this treatment once a month until the issue is lifted.
